A brief history of Blogging
Before we tap into what type of blogger you are, we must first take a look at the origin of Blogging. Do you know where the word blogger comes from? In 1997 Jon Barger coined the phrase Web Log, which was later abbreviated to just ‘blog’ therefore Blogging by definition is “a person who regularly writes material for a blog.” So blogging is inherently writing! Bloggers are writers!
What is an influencer?
I know we have steered away from the writing and many bloggers have become influencers because their job has become mostly promoting products. But every now and then you find a blogger who has a story to tell rather than just pushes products.
There is much debate over what an influencer actually is. Some say its any person who has a large social media following but lately it seems like because of the growing number of fake followers companies see influencers as celebrities rather than just any person with a large social media account.
“People do not buy goods and services. They buy relations, stories and magic.”
